Hello All My Peeps,
This week’s Words of Wisdom comes from my many years and extensive knowledge regarding riding motorcycles. Motorcycles are serious machinery that requires laser focus when in motion. They don’t call them donor cycles for nothing. So this week’s wisdom comes from this experience. The wisdom I offer you is this:
Reaching a Goal = Looking Through the Turn
In layman terms, treat your goals like riding a motorcycle, by looking through a turn or looking ahead of a turn. If you focus on what’s ahead of you, you will not fall or stumble. You will stay upright achieving your mission of getting through/past that turn to reach your intended goal, or getting past your obstacles/distractions, etc.
However, if you look down while in a turn on a motorcycle, you will most likely wobble and possibly fall down, getting injuries and road rash to show for it. There are good reasons why you never look directly down when making a turn on a motorcycle, all of which deal with balance.
You cannot balance yourself or your motorcycle without focusing on what lies ahead. You cannot avoid approaching obstacles if you are not looking up and are aware of what’s coming at you; hence, the need to look through/past the turn.
In other words, stay focused on what lies ahead of you, not down on the ground or behind you, because the road comes hard and fast when you’re distracted from the mission of looking through/past the turn to reach your goals.
Remember: Reaching a Goal = Looking Through the Turn
